Education/Art Experience: BS/MS University of Florida; DVM Auburn University. Attended workshops under nationally recognized artists such as Paul Sweeney, Tom Lynch, Jan Herring, Claude Croney, Judi Betts, Frank Webb, Maggie Hoybach, Doug Walton, Don Andrews, Arne Westerman, Nina Fritz, James Brantley, Linda Moyer and others. Biography: The artist is a native of St. Augustine, FL and former USMC officer and veteran of Viet Nam. Self employed veterinarian in Panama City, FL since 1972, now semi-retired. Past president of Panama Art Association (2 years), and board of directors Visual Art Center of Northwest Florida (2001-2006). Signature member of Southern Watercolor Society, Florida Watercolor Society, Georgia Watercolor Society, Texas Watercolor Society, Tallahassee Watercolor Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society and Watercolor Society Of Alabama. Paintings accepted in juried shows such
as the National Watercolor Society All Members Exhibit (April 2007),
National Watercolor Society Open Juried Exhibit (August 2007),
Adirondacks National Watercolor Exhibit-Old Forge (2008), Accepted in numerous other juried shows including the Cornell Museum in Delray Bch, FL (twice), the Hilton Head Art League, the Wiregrass Museum in Dothan, AL, the St. Augustine Art Association, the Thomasville Cultural Center, and the Visual Art Center of Northwest Florida (Best of Show 2007, Merit Award 2006, 2007). Many awards have been won regionally and numerous commissions painted of old family homes. Over 400 original paintings in private homes and businesses, and many prints of original work sold throughout the U.S. He was the President of the Southern Watercolor Society 2007-2008-2009, and served as vice-president from 2005-2006. 3416 W.
