Inge Wright is an American artist born in Austria and now living in England. After a formal education in Germany, she moved to the States where she received the BA degree in Art from the University of South Alabama. She had previously studied art at the University of Alabama and the University of Texas.
 
She later moved to London to take courses at the Central School of Art & Design under Norman Ackroyd. Originally trained as a printmaker, she turned to hand-made paper and mixed media, conbining monoprinting, collages and acrylics. She exhibited in London in juried exhibitions, such as The Society of Graphic Artists and The Royal Society of British Artists at The Mall Galleries, and The Royal Society of Printer-Etchers and Engravers at the Bankside Gallery. She has won two international competitions, the Birmingham (England) International Art Competition and the Harness Racing of America Exhibition in Lexington, Kentucky. 
A move to Oxfordshire in the 1990s began a six-year art teaching period while raising her family. She now lives in Herefordshire, and her work is in private and public collections in Britain (including that of Richard Branson, CEO of Virgin Airlines), the USA, Germany and Austria.
