Artist Statement

The joy of painting came into my life later than it does to most artists, but how I love it! After retiring from working in the school system, I decided to try a painting class at a nearby art supply shop.  During this class that I took in 2000, I was introduced to an inspirational teacher, Becky Wallace, and to the wonderful art of watercolor painting.  I have been excited about painting since that time.  Though watercolor is my favorite medium, I do enjoy painting with acrylics and oils as well.
