I am naturally drawn to details, color, and contrast in my paintings and that of others.  I especially enjoy paintings that are of a personal interest to me, my family or my friends.  Though I have no formal art education and am mostly self-taught, I have been fortunate enough to participate in workshops conducted by such outstanding artists as Edward “Ted” Minchin, Mary Alice Braukman, Ron Lewis, Jack Shields, John Lonergan, Maggie Hoyboch, Betty Carr, Melinee Morris, and others.  These workshops have inspired me to develop and grow my interest and love for painting.  

I am a Signature Member of the Watercolor Society of Alabama and the Georgia Watercolor Society.  I have been juried into national exhibitions and members shows in both Alabama and Georgia.  In addition, I am a member of the Mountain Brook Art Association, Vestavia Hills Art Associations, and Art-A-Tac.
